Installation Procedure

- If replacing the condenser, add the specified amount of PAG oil directly to the condenser. Refer to Refrigerant System Capacities .
- Install the condenser (1).
- Install a new O-ring to the condenser tube. Refer to O-Ring Replacement .
- Connect the condenser tube to the condenser.
- Install the condenser tube bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
- Install a new O-ring to the discharge line. Refer to O-Ring Replacement .
- Connect the discharge line to the condenser.
- Install the discharge line bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
- Install the condenser lower mounting bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 5.4 N.m (48 lb in).
- Install the condenser upper bracket bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 5.4 N.m (48 lb in).
- Install the front air deflector (3).
- Install the front air deflector bolts (1).
- Install the front air deflector retainers (2).
- Lower the vehicle.
- Install the power steering cooler mounting bolts. Refer to Power Steering Fluid Cooler Replacement .
- Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
- Leak test the fittings of the component using the J 39400-A . See Special Tools .
