Installation Procedure

If replacing the condenser, add the specified amount of PAG oil directly to the condenser. Refer to Refrigerant System Capacities .
Install the condenser (1).
Install a new O-ring to the condenser tube. Refer to O-Ring Replacement .
Connect the condenser tube to the condenser.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Install the condenser tube bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
Install a new O-ring to the discharge line. Refer to O-Ring Replacement .
Connect the discharge line to the condenser.

Install the discharge line bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

Install the condenser lower mounting bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 5.4 N.m (48 lb in).

Install the condenser upper bracket bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 5.4 N.m (48 lb in).
Install the front air deflector (3).
Install the front air deflector bolts (1).
Install the front air deflector retainers (2).
Lower the vehicle.
Install the power steering cooler mounting bolts. Refer to Power Steering Fluid Cooler Replacement .

Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
Leak test the fittings of the component using the J 39400-A . See Special Tools .
