Removal Procedure

  1. Using a scan tool, capture the ECM data.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (w/Single Battery) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (w/Auxiliary Battery) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (w/Dual Batteries) .
  3. Disconnect the ECM electrical connectors (2).

  5. Release the ECM upper retaining tabs.
  6. Remove the ECM from the bracket.
