Installation Procedure

  1. Lubricate the NEW O-ring with clean engine oil.
  2. Install the fuel pressure dampener O-ring seal (5).
  3. Install the fuel pressure dampener (6).
  4. Install the fuel pressure dampener retaining clip (7).
  5. Install the upper intake manifold. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Replacement .
  6. Tighten the fuel fill cap.
  7. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (w/Single Battery) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (w/Auxiliary Battery) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (w/Dual Batteries) .
  8. Inspect for leaks.
    1. Turn the ignition ON, for 2 seconds.
    2. Turn the ignition OFF, for 10 seconds.
    3. Turn the ignition ON.
    4. Inspect for fuel leaks.
