Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition ON, verify the Key In Ignition parameter displays Yes.
    • If Yes, verify that the scan tool Battery Voltage parameter displays Normal. If Normal, repair the short to voltage in the ignition 1 voltage circuit.
    • If not Normal, replace the BCM.
  2. Ignition ON, verify the Key In Ignition parameter displays No.
    • If No, test the signal circuit of the key in ignition switch for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, test the voltage circuit of the key in ignition switch for an open/high resistance.
    • If all circuits test normal, replace the ignition switch.
