Shift Cable Adjustment

  1. Set the parking brake.
  2. Remove the cup holder. Refer to Cupholder Replacement - Front Floor Console in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  3. Fig 1: Unlocking Shift Cable Retainers

  4. Lift and unlock the shift cable retainers.

  6. Push the shifter 4th gear lock clip. Move the shifter slightly in order to center the lock clip.
  7. Ensure that the transmission is in 4th gear.

  9. Press and lock the shift cable retainers.

  11. Pull the shifter 4th gear lock clip to its original position.
  12. Install the cup holder. Refer to Cupholder Replacement - Front Floor Console in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
