Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (2.2L (L61), 2.4L (LE5)) or Draining and Filling Cooling System (GE 47716 Fill) .
  2. Reposition the oil cooler outlet hose clamp (2) at the oil cooler.
  3. Remove the oil cooler outlet hose from the oil cooler.

  5. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp (2) at the oil cooler.
  6. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the oil cooler.

  8. Remove the oil cooler bolts.
  9. Remove the oil cooler.
