Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the intake (3) and exhaust (2) camshaft position actuator solenoid valve electrical connectors.

  4. Remove the ignition coils. Refer to Ignition Coil(s) Replacement .
  5. Remove the engine harness clips (1 and 2) from the cover.

  6. Remove the camshaft cover bolts.
  7. Remove the camshaft cover.
