Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure .
  2. Disconnect the fuel feed line quick connect fitting (4) from the fuel rail. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Metal Collar) .

  4. Cap or plug the fuel line and the fuel rail to prevent contamination.
  5. Remove the fuel feed line retainers (1, 2) from the engine brackets.
  6. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  7. Remove the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister. Refer to Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Replacement

  9. Disconnect the fuel feed line (1) from the fuel filter. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Metal Collar) .

  11. Remove the rear brake pipe bracket nuts and release the brackets from the body studs.

  13. Release the pipe retainers (1) from the vehicle underbody.
  14. Remove the fuel feed pipe from the pipe retainers.
  15. Lower the rear of the pipe while moving the pipe rearward slightly, then lower the front of the pipe.
  16. Remove the fuel feed pipe from the vehicle.
