Removal Procedure

- Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure .
- Disconnect the fuel feed line quick connect fitting (4) from the fuel rail. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Metal Collar) .
- Cap or plug the fuel line and the fuel rail to prevent contamination.
- Remove the fuel feed line retainers (1, 2) from the engine brackets.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister. Refer to Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Replacement
- Disconnect the fuel feed line (1) from the fuel filter. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Metal Collar) .
- Remove the rear brake pipe bracket nuts and release the brackets from the body studs.
- Release the pipe retainers (1) from the vehicle underbody.
- Remove the fuel feed pipe from the pipe retainers.
- Lower the rear of the pipe while moving the pipe rearward slightly, then lower the front of the pipe.
- Remove the fuel feed pipe from the vehicle.
