Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) line from the EVAP purge solenoid valve. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .

  3. Cap or plug the EVAP line and the purge solenoid in order to prevent system contamination.
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  5. Remove the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister. Refer to Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Replacement .

  6. Remove the rear brake pipe bracket nuts and release the brackets from the body studs.

  7. Release the pipe retainers (1) from the vehicle underbody.
  8. Remove the EVAP purge line from the pipe retainers.
  9. Lower the rear of the line while moving the line rearward slightly, then lower the front of the line.
  10. Remove the EVAP purge line from the vehicle.
