Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Insert the retaining tab on the EVAP canister into the slotted bracket on the vehicle underbody.
  2. Fig 1: Installing EVAP Canister Bolt

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the EVAP canister bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Connect the fuel tank EVAP line quick connect fittings (1, 3) to the EVAP canister. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .
  6. Connect the fuel fill vent pipe quick connect fitting (2) to the EVAP canister. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .

  8. Connect the EVAP canister harness electrical connector (1) to the EVAP canister pressure sensor.
  9. Connect the EVAP canister harness electrical connector (2) to the EVAP canister vent solenoid valve.
  10. Lower the vehicle.
