Installation Procedure

  1. Install the EVAP canister purge valve to the bracket.
  2. Position the EVAP canister purge valve with bracket to the cylinder head.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  4. Install the EVAP canister purge valve bracket bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

  6. Connect the chassis EVAP vapor line to the EVAP canister purge valve. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .

  8. Connect the chassis EVAP vapor line to the EVAP canister purge valve. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .

  10. Connect the engine harness electrical connector (2) to the EVAP canister purge valve.
  11. Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
