Installation Procedure

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
IMPORTANT: The KS threaded surfaces must be clean before installation.
  1. Install the knock sensor.

    Tighten:  Tighten the knock sensor retaining bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  2. Connect the knock sensor harness connector.
  3. Install the starter. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement (RPOs L61/LE5) or Starter Motor Replacement (RPO LSJ) in Engine Electrical.
