Oil Level Indicator and Tube Installation

  1. Lubricate the oil level indicator tube O-ring with GM P/N 12345501 (Canadian P/N 992704), or equivalent.
  2. Install the oil level indicator and the oil level indicator tube into the oil pan.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  4. Install the oil level indicator tube bracket to the intake manifold bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the oil level indicator bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the electrical wiring harness to the oil level indicator tube.
  6. Install the knock sensor wiring clip into the oil level indicator tube.
