Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S). Refer to Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 Replacement .

  4. Remove the catalytic converter to the resonator pipe nuts.

  6. Remove the catalytic converter to the exhaust manifold nuts.
  7. Remove the catalytic converter.
  8. Remove and discard the exhaust gaskets.
  9. Clean the flange mating surfaces of any remaining gasket material.
