Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Pontiac G5 and 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 Fill)  or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LE5, L61)  or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LNF) .
  2. Lower the vehicle.
  3. Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement .

  5. Reposition the radiator inlet hose clamp at the radiator using J 38185  . See Special Tools .
  6. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the radiator.

  8. Reposition the radiator inlet hose clamp at the engine using J 38185  . See Special Tools .
  9. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the engine.
