Master Cylinder Replacement (Manual Transmission)

Callout Component Name
CAUTION: Remove all the air from the hydraulic brake system anytime the hydraulic brake system is opened for repair. The entire bleeding procedure must be followed. Failure to remove all the air in the hydraulic brake system will result in reduced braking performance and possible personal injury.

Fastener Tightening Specifications:  Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications .
1 Connector, Clutch Cylinder
Tip: 
  • The hose from between the clutch master cylinder and the brake master cylinder reservoir is NOT serviced separately. It is serviced with the brake master cylinder reservoir.
  • Bleed the clutch anytime the system is opened for repairs. Refer to Hydraulic Clutch Bleeding .
2 Connector, Brake Fluid Level Indicator
3 Nut, Brake Pipe (Qty: 2)
Tip: 

Tighten:  19 N.m (14 lb ft)

4 Nut, Master Cylinder (Qty: 2)

Tighten:  25 N.m (18 lb ft)

5 Cylinder, Brake Master
