Side Cover Axle Seal Installation

Tools Required

    IMPORTANT: You must use the J 41102-1A  in order to install the seal correctly. See Special Tools . The J 41102-1A  installs the axle seal to a given depth. See Special Tools .
  1. Install a new side cover axle seal (2) into the side cover. Use the J 41102-1A  with the J 8092  . See Special Tools .
  2. In order to prevent damage to the shaft splines during vehicle operation, add Polyurea grease (part number 7843867) to the splines on the output shaft.
