Ignition and Start Switch Replacement

Preliminary Procedures Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection . Remove the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement .
1	Ignition and Start Switch Bolt (Qty: 2) NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice . Procedure: Turn the ignition lock cylinder to the run position before removing the ignition and start switch bolts. Tighten: 2 N.m (18 lb in)
2	Ignition and Start Switch Procedure Disconnect any electrical connectors as needed. If replacing the ignition and start switch, the theft deterrent module must be relearned. Refer to Control Module References .

Ignition and Start Switch Bolt (Qty: 2)

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Procedure:
Turn the ignition lock cylinder to the run position before removing the ignition and start switch bolts.

Tighten: 2 N.m (18 lb in)

Procedure

Disconnect any electrical connectors as needed.
If replacing the ignition and start switch, the theft deterrent module must be relearned. Refer to Control Module References .
