Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement

Preliminary Procedures Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection . Remove the theft deterrent module, Refer to Theft Deterrent Module Replacement .
1	Ignition Lock Cylinder Procedure Turn the ignition lock cylinder to the RUN position. Insert a pick-type tool into the proper hole on the ignition lock cylinder case and press the lock tab on the ignition lock cylinder down. Pull the ignition lock cylinder out of the ignition lock cylinder case. If installing a new ignition lock cylinder then refer to Key and Lock Cylinder Coding . Relearn the theft deterrent module, if necessary. Refer to Control Module References .

Ignition Lock Cylinder

Procedure

Turn the ignition lock cylinder to the RUN position.
Insert a pick-type tool into the proper hole on the ignition lock cylinder case and press the lock tab on the ignition lock cylinder down.
Pull the ignition lock cylinder out of the ignition lock cylinder case.
If installing a new ignition lock cylinder then refer to Key and Lock Cylinder Coding .
Relearn the theft deterrent module, if necessary. Refer to Control Module References .
