Preliminary Procedures
- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection

- Remove the theft deterrent module, Refer to Theft Deterrent Module Replacement

Ignition Lock Cylinder Procedure
- Turn the ignition lock cylinder to the RUN position.
- Insert a pick-type tool into the proper hole on the ignition lock cylinder case and press the lock tab on the ignition lock cylinder down.
- Pull the ignition lock cylinder out of the ignition lock cylinder case.
- If installing a new ignition lock cylinder then refer to Key and Lock Cylinder Coding

- Relearn the theft deterrent module, if necessary. Refer to Control Module References
