Installation Procedure

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .

Install new sealing washers on the compressor and condenser hose fittings. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement .
Install the A/C compressor and condenser hose assembly to the compressor.
Install the A/C compressor and condenser hose assembly bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

Install new seal washer to the compressor hose. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement .
Install the compressor hose and nut (1) to the evaporator hose.
Tighten: Tighten the nut to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
Remove the bolt (2) from the compressor hose bracket.
Tighten: Tighten the nut to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

Install new seal washer to the compressor hose. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement .
Install the compressor hose and bolt to the condenser.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

Connect the pressure transducer electrical connector.
Lower the vehicle.
Evacuate and charge the refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Non HP2) .
Leak test the fittings using the J 39400-A . See Special Tools .
