Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the intake (3) and exhaust (2) camshaft position actuator solenoid valve electrical connectors.

  5. Remove the ignition coils. Refer to Ignition Coil Replacement .
  6. Remove the engine harness clips (1, 2) from the cover.

  8. Remove the fuel feed line retainers (1, 2) from the engine brackets.

  10. Remove the camshaft cover bolts.
  11. Remove the camshaft cover.
