Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Pontiac G5 Pursuit, 2007 Pontiac G5, and 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Partially remove the splash shields from the right fender liner to gain access to the drain cock.
  2. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (2.0L (LSJ))  or Draining and Filling Cooling System (2.2L (L61), 2.4L (LE5))  or Draining and Filling Cooling System (GE 47716 Fill) .
  3. Lower the vehicle.

  5. Reposition the radiator inlet hose clamp at the radiator using J 38185  . See Special Tools .
  6. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the radiator.

  8. Reposition the radiator inlet hose clamp at the engine using J 38185  . See Special Tools .
  9. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the engine.
