Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the cooling fan assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Cooling Fan and Shroud Replacement (2.0L (LSJ))  or Cooling Fan and Shroud Replacement (2.2L (L61), 2.4L (LE5)) .
  2. Fig 1: View Of Cooling Fan Blade Retaining Clips

  3. Scribe the position of each of the cooling fan blade on the cooling fan motor shaft.
  4. Remove the cooling fan blade retaining clips and discard.

  6. Remove the cooling fan blade.

  8. Remove the cooling fan motor bolts and remove the cooling fan motor.
