Test Description

The steps below refer to the test steps in the diagnostic table.

  1. 2:  Any Intermittent operation for this symptom would indicate an intermittent sunroof switch, not a poor connection of the sunroof switch harness connector.
Power Sunroof Does Not Open

Definition: Sunroof switch open position is inoperative, as the sunroof system operates only between the close and vent positions.
1 Did you review the Sunroof Description and Operation? - Go to Step 2  Go to Symptoms - Roof 
Operate the power sunroof.
Does the system operate normally?
- Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections Go to Step 3 
3 Does the sunroof system operate only between the close and vent positions? - Go to Step 4  Go to Symptoms - Roof 
4 Replace the sunroof switch. Refer to Sunroof Switch Replacement .
Did you complete the replacement?
- Go to Step 5  -

  1. Remove any jumper wires.
  2. Connect any previously disconnected connectors.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  4. Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
Did you correct the condition?
- System OK Go to Step 2
