Limit Switch

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Pontiac G5 Pursuit, 2007 Pontiac G5, and 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The sunroof limit switch controls the operation to soft stop the sunroof window in the vent position, when raising upward from the close position. As the sunroof window reaches the vent position, the limit switch will open, opening the ground path supplied to the sunroof switch through the sunroof limit switch range signal circuit.

IMPORTANT: If the sunroof actuator motor should need any repair or adjustment, once it is removed any turns of the motor or changes in the sunroof window position will result in improper timing. Review the sunroof motor synchronization procedure for further information and set-up instructions. REFER TO THE APPROPRIATE PROCEDURE.
