Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
    IMPORTANT: The KS threaded surfaces must be clean before installation.
  1. Install the knock sensor.

    Tighten:  Tighten the knock sensor retaining bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  2. Connect the knock sensor harness connector.
  3. Install the starter. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement (RPO LSJ) or Starter Motor Replacement (RPOs L61/LE5) .
