Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve harness connector.
  2. Disconnect the vacuum pipe from the EVAP canister purge valve.
  3. Disconnect the purge pipe from the EVAP canister purge valve.

  5. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve and bracket.
  6. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve from the purge bracket.
  7. Inspect for carbon release in the EVAP canister purge valve ports. Refer to Evaporative Emission System Cleaning .
