Installation Procedure

  1. Inspect the CKP sensor O-ring and lubricate with a mineral based grease.
  2. Gently insert the CKP sensor (2) into the block.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  4. Install the CKP sensor bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the CKP sensor bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Reconnect the CKP sensor electrical connector.
  6. Install the starter. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement (RPO LSJ) or Starter Motor Replacement (RPOs L61/LE5) .
  7. Perform the CKP system Variation Learn Procedure. Refer to Crankshaft Position System Variation Learn .
