Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Remove the drive belt tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement - Supercharger .
  3. Remove the underhood junction block. Refer to Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Bracket Replacement .
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the camshaft position (CMP) sensor.
  5. Remove the CMP sensor studs.
  6. Remove the CMP sensor.
