Removal Procedure

- Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
- Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) line from the EVAP purge solenoid valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
- Cap or plug the EVAP line and the purge solenoid in order to prevent system contamination.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister. Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Replacement .
- Remove the rear brake pipe bracket nuts and release the brackets from the body studs.
- Release the pipe retainers (1) from the vehicle underbody.
- Remove the EVAP purge line from the pipe retainers.
- Lower the rear of the line while moving the line rearward slightly, then lower the front of the line.
- Remove the EVAP purge line from the vehicle.
