Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Disconnect the secondary air injection (AIR) pump outlet hose quick connect fitting at the AIR pump. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  3. Lower the vehicle.
  4. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
  5. Remove the AIR pump outlet hose bracket bolt.

  6. Remove the AIR pump outlet hose bracket nut.
  7. Disconnect the AIR pump outlet hose quick connect fitting at the AIR check valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  8. Remove the AIR pump outlet hose/pipe.
