Installation Procedure

  1. Install a NEW AIR check valve gasket onto the exhaust manifold.
  2. Install the AIR check.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the AIR check valve bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

  4. Connect the AIR pump outlet hose quick connect fitting at the AIR check valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  5. Connect the engine harness electrical connector to the AIR check valve.
  6. Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
