Installation Procedure

  1. Install the crankshaft balancer.
  2. Install a NEW crankshaft balancer bolt.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  4. Use J 38122-A  to prevent the crankshaft from rotating while tightening the crankshaft balancer bolt. See Special Tools .

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 100 N.m (74 lb ft) plus 75 degrees.

  5. Install the engine drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
