Installation Procedure

  1. Adjust the drum brakes. Refer to Drum Brake Adjustment .
  2. Install the brake drum.
  3. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (4 Lug Wheel) or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (5 Lug Wheel) .
  4. Apply the brakes approximately three times in order to seat and center the brake shoes within the drum.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
