Outside Rearview Mirror Switch Testing
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the outside rearview mirror switch.
- Test for infinite resistance between all of the signal terminals and the voltage supply terminal and the ground circuit with the switch in the open position.
- If less than infinite resistance, replace the rearview mirror switch.
- Test for less than 1 ohm of resistance between all of the control terminals and ground with the outside rearview mirror switch in the proper positions.
- If greater than 1 ohm, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, replace the rearview mirror switch.
Outside Rearview Mirror Motor Specifications
| Outside Rearview Mirror Motor Circuits | Specifications (ohms) |
|---|---|
| Up/Down Motor Circuit | 45 to 65 |
| Left/Right Motor Circuit | 45 to 75 |
Outside Rearview Mirror Motor Testing
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the outside rearview mirror motor.
- Test for the specified resistance from the table above over the circuits in the outside rearview mirror motor.
- If the resistance is not within the specified range, replace the outside rearview mirror motor.
