Conditions for Clearing the DTC

A current DTC will clear on the next malfunction-free ignition cycle.
A history DTC will clear after 100 consecutive malfunction-free ignition cycles.
Using a scan tool

Step	Action	Yes	No
1	Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?	Go to Step 2	Go to DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK - VEHICLE
2	Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. With a scan tool, select Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) function. Does the scan tool indicate that DTC C0475 00 is current?	Go to Step 3	Go to Step 4
3	Replace the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement . Did you complete the repair?	Go to Step 3	-
4	Use the scan tool in order to clear the DTC. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. Does DTC C0475 reset?	Go to Step 2	System OK
