| 1 | Axle Shaft Nut
NOTE:
Refer to Fastener Notice
. Tip: Insert a drift or flat-bladed tool into the rotor and against the caliper bracket in order to prevent the rotor from turning while removing the axle nut. Tighten: 110 N.m (81 lb ft) |
| 2 | Tie Rod End Nut Tighten: 25 N.m (08 lb ft) plus 90 degrees |
| 3 | Outer Tie Rod End Tip: Use the J 24319-B to remove the tie rod from the steering knuckle. Refer to Rack and Pinion Outer Tie Rod End Replacement . |
| 4 | Lower Ball Joint Bolt
NOTE:
Do not free the ball stud by using a pickle fork or a wedge-type tool. Damage to the seal or bushing may result.
Tighten:

| 6 | Lower Ball Joint Tip: Use the J 43631 to separate the ball stud from the steering knuckle. Refer to Lower Ball Joint Replacement (with FE1 Only) . |
| 7 | Caliper Bracket Bolts (Qty: 2)
NOTE:
Support the brake caliper with heavy mechanic's wire, or equivalent, whenever it is separated from its mount and the hydraulic flexible brake hose is still connected. Failure to support the caliper in this manner will cause the flexible brake hose to bear the weight of the caliper, which may cause damage to the brake hose and in turn may cause a brake fluid leak. Tip: Do not disconnect the hydraulic brake flexible hose from the caliper. Tighten: 115 N.m (85 lb ft) |
