Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Pontiac G5 Pursuit, 2007 Pontiac G5, and 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Move the stabilizer bar into position from the right side of the vehicle.

  3. Install the stabilizer bushings on the stabilizer bar with the cut line facing rearward.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  5. Install the stabilizer bar clamps and bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  6. Connect the stabilizer links to the stabilizer shaft. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement .
  7. Install the steering gear. Refer to Power Steering Gear Replacement .
  8. Install the rear transaxle mount. Refer to Transmission Rear Mount Replacement for the Getrag 5 Speed transmission, or Transmission Rear Mount Replacement for the MU3 transmission, or Transmission Rear Mount Replacement for the 4T40-E/4T45-E transaxle.
  9. Install the front wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (4 Lug Wheel) or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (5 Lug Wheel) .
  10. Lower the vehicle.
