Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Position the steering column in the full downward position.
  3. Fig 1: Upper Steering Column Trim Cover

  4. Unsnap and remove the upper steering column cover.
  5. Fig 2: Lower Steering Column Cover

  6. Remove the lower steering column cover screws.
  7. Remove the lower steering column trim cover.
