NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice . Preliminary Procedures Remove the steering column opening filler assembly. Refer to Steering Column Opening Filler Replacement . Tilt the steering wheel up.
1	Instrument Panel Trim Tip: Release the left-hand instrument panel (I/P) trim plate assembly by pulling away from the I/P retainer. Disconnect the I/P dimmer switch and, if equipped, the fog lamp switch.

Preliminary Procedures

Remove the steering column opening filler assembly. Refer to Steering Column Opening Filler Replacement .
Tilt the steering wheel up.

Instrument Panel Trim
Tip:

Release the left-hand instrument panel (I/P) trim plate assembly by pulling away from the I/P retainer.
Disconnect the I/P dimmer switch and, if equipped, the fog lamp switch.
