NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices. Fastener Tightening Specifications: Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications . Preliminary Procedures Disable the SIR system. Lower the steering column. Remove the I/P retainer. Refer to Instrument Panel (I/P) Retainer Replacement .
1	Bolt, Instrument Panel Tie Bar Tighten: 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
2	Nut, Instrument Panel Tie Bar Tighten: 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
3	Nut, HVAC Mount Tighten: 10 N.m (88 lb in)
4	Bar Assembly, Instrument Panel Tie Tip: Leave the pedal assembly in bolted to the cowl panel.
