Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Engine Electrical.
- Remove the instrument panel (I/P). Refer to Instrument Panel (I/P) Assembly Replacement .
- Remove the body control module (BCM). Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Computing/Integrating Systems.
- Remove the daytime running lights (DRL) module. Refer to Daytime Running Lights (DRL) Control Module Replacement in Lighting Systems.
- Remove the electronic brake control module (EBCM). Refer to Electronic Brake Control Module Replacement in Antilock Brake System.
- Remove the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column.
- Remove the A/C module. Refer to HVAC Control Module Replacement in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
- Remove the I/P air outlet ducts. Refer to Instrument Panel (I/P) Air Outlet Ducts Replacement in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
- Remove the center air outlet. Refer to Air Outlet Replacement - Center in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
- Remove the defroster duct. Refer to Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Defroster in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
- Remove the bolts/screws which secure the I/P carrier to the body.
- Remove the I/P carrier from the body.
