Disassembly Procedure
- Remove the caliper. Refer to Brake Caliper Overhaul - Rear .
- Apply unlubricated compressed air at the hose inlet of the caliper.
- Remove the piston from its bore and remove the piston dust seal.
- Remove the inner seal from the bore. Avoid scratching the bore.
- Remove the bleeder valve dust cap and the bleeder valve.

CAUTION:
Do not place your fingers in front of the piston in an attempt to catch or protect it when applying compressed air. This could result in serious injury.
IMPORTANT:
When removing the caliper piston with compressed air, place some rolled-up shop towels beneath the caliper to prevent damage to the piston.
