Rear Hatch/Gate Description and Operation

The hatchback/liftgate door consists of the rear hatch glass within a steel frame. The steel frame is made of an inner and an outer panel hemmed around the perimeter, and bonded together with structural adhesive. The gas support assemblies assist the opening of the hatchback/liftgate door, and can hold the door open.
