- Inspect the drive belts for the alternator, the power steering pump, and the A/C compressor, if equipped.
- Change the engine oil and filter. Refer to footnotes (1), (3).
An Emission Control Service.
- Inspect the cooling system hoses and connections.
- Inspect the engine coolant. Refer to footnote (3).
- Inspect the fuel lines and connections.
- Inspect the air cleaner element. Refer to footnote (2).
- Change the spark plugs for the 1.4L and the 1.6L DOHC engines.
- Inspect the spark plugs for the 1.8L DOHC engine.
- Inspect the PCV system.
- Inspect the timing belt.
- Change the interior air filter if equipped with A/C. Refer to footnote (7).
- Inspect the exhaust pipes and mountings.
- Change the brake/clutch fluid. Refer to footnotes (3), (4).
- Inspect the front brake pads and discs. Refer to footnote (5).
- Inspect the rear brake pads and discs or drums and linings. Refer to footnote (5).
- Inspect the park brake.
- Inspect the brake lines and the connections, including the booster.
- Inspect the manual transaxle fluid. Refer to footnote (3).
- Inspect the automatic transaxle fluid. Refer to footnotes (3), (6).
- Inspect the chassis and underbody bolts and nuts.
- Inspect the steering wheel and linkage.
- Inspect the power steering fluid and lines. Refer to footnote (3).
- Inspect the drive shaft boots.
- Inspect the seat belts, buckles and anchors.
- Lubricate the locks, hinges and hood latch.
