Installation Procedure

  1. Slide the new EVAP canister onto the mount on the fuel tank.
  2. Install the screw into the EVAP canister mount to secure the canister to the fuel tank.
  3. Connect purge line to the EVAP canister.
  4. Connect the vapor line from the fuel tank to the EVAP canister.
  5. Connect the EVAP canister vent valve hose to the vent valve.
  6. Install the fuel tank back in the vehicle. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement (Malibu Sedan) .
