Tools Required

  1. Remove the air cleaner assembly.

  3. Remove the line pressure plug.

  5. Install J 21867-100  using a ratchet box wrench. See Special Tools . Tighten the adapter so that the insert hole for the dowel rod is in a 1 o'clock position.

  7. Install the dowel rod from J 21867-94  . See Special Tools .

  9. Attach a line pressure gage and hose to the dowel rod fitting.
  10. Secure the hose in a safe position to avoid damage to the tools and vehicle during the line pressure testing.
  11. When you have completed the testing procedure, remove the line pressure gage and hose from the dowel rod fitting.
  12. Remove the dowel rod.
  13. Remove J 21867-100  using a ratchet box wrench. See Special Tools .
  14. Install the line pressure plug.
  15. Install the air cleaner assembly.
