Installation Procedure

  1. Lubricate the exterior of the crankshaft front oil seal with clean engine oil.
  2. Use the J 35468  with a hammer in order to install the crankshaft front oil seal. See Special Tools .
  3. Inspect to ensure the crankshaft front oil seal is flush and square to the engine front cover.
  4. Install the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Replacement .
