Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.

  1. Disable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 5 in SIR.
  2. Remove the knee bolster trim panel. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement - Right .
  3. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) upper trim pad. Refer to Trim Pad Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Upper .
  4. Remove the nuts (2) retaining the I/P extension to HVAC duct.
  5. Remove the screws (3) from the I/P extension.
  6. Remove the I/P extension (1).
