Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the transaxle from the vehicle. Refer to Transmission Replacement in Manual Transmission - D16.
  2. Install the J 35271  (2) to the flywheel. See Special Tools and Equipment .
  3. Remove the pressure plate and the clutch disc. Refer to Clutch and Pressure Plate Replacement .

    CAUTION: Wear safety glasses in order to avoid eye damage.
  5. Remove the transmission input shaft bearing from the crankshaft using the J 23907  (1). See Special Tools and Equipment .
